"What's a little money between friends?" David Amsden

I think that it was interesting that the five women were really close in the beginning and after the whole experiment their friendship broke off, but I can see why that happened because I can relate to it. Liz concluded by saying that she made friends with people who are in the same situation because they can relate to each other and don't have to be envious of each other and that is the way relationships should be.

I believe that if Liz wanted to have more money quicker, she should have invested in another profession. It is not possible for everyone to be born into a rich family and if Liz wanted to be as rich as her friends, she should have choose a different profession that would not require her to spend so much money and time in order to return a profit. Some of the women in the story think that they can live without a budget and when you are rich, this is possible, but when you are paying for your own way through everything, it is not.

I was in that position in which most of my friends had things thrown at them by their parents all their life and I was in the position where I can't afford to go out sometimes the same way my friends can. As sad as I am that I can't go on vacations as much as my friends do and as envious that I am of that, it does not change our friendship because we can sit and not have to buy anything, no food or anything, and we can still have fun together. Money can come between friends often, but in certain situations you have to understand that you cannot be living the same life someone else is and if you truly care about your friends then you will realize that you have to live your life but keep your friendships. You cannot let your envy get in between your friendship because it is not worth it.
